Want to get acquainted with the latest trends in the Internet of Things and Teaching IoT Technologies in Education?

We invite you to attend a workshop of the Internet of Things for teachers at the The Things Network on Tour, which will take place on 4 October in Maribor (in IZUM premises).

Workshop title: Colibri IoT – Open IoT platform for education

Content of the workshop: Colibri IoT is an open sensor platform for the education of students in the Internet of Things. It is based on the open Arduino ecosystem, allows LoRaWAN connectivity and extension with the help of additional modules. It is intended for education through real-world applications for smart sites, smart food production, smart industry, etc.

At the workshop you will:

  • familiarized with the Colibri IoT platform,
  • carried out the real-time IoT project: assembled a micro-industrial unit and connected it to an open platform via the The Things
  • Network LoRaWAN network.

At the workshop you will receive:

  • IoT builds a DIY kit of micro-processing units,
  • access to the platform,
  • technical support,
  • a learning example for an application in the teaching of professional subjects.

After the workshop you will be able to install radars with your students at your school and analyze the traffic load and vehicle speeds along the school path and access the data of all related units via the platform.

Lecturer: Luka Mali, Laboratory for Telecommunications, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, lecturer in the field of the Internet of Things and Mobility

Note: The workshop will be held in the Slovene language. Participants must bring a laptop computer with them.
